Your wife's hemoglobin is pretty low and this can't be due to one heavy bleeding cycle of menstruation. This must be due to long term loss or deficiency or iron and decreased RBC count. Also, this needs to be addressed properly with consultation. This is not something you should take up on Q&A section.
