Low amniotic fluid at 31weeks 5 days
Hi Dr, I recently did my Doppler scan and the report says - fetal growth is at 5th centile. There is oligohydramnios (AFI-4.7). The MCA PI is reduced. The cerebro placenta ratio is 1.55 (normal). In such cases, please suggest how do we go with these situations. EFW- 1483 gems+_300

The gestation period is only 31 weeks. It will be difficult to manage the baby outside the uterus also. All of us have stories to share that "I saved a baby born at 26 weeks and 28 weeks but no one tells how many babies could not be salvaged. I think in this case the patient should have conventional treatment for IUGR. Giving Amino drip and Arginine sachet, good diets, intermittent oxygen. Do NST every day. Cover with steroids. Every day matters. I will be happy if we can carry the pregnancy upto 34 weeks. But we should have a very good NICU .
