She is Heavy weighted, having pains continuously in leg bones so doctor suggested her not to walk much, she gets relief her pain as long as she takes medicine but her weight is increasing day by day, please suggest something including any specific weight/cholesterol lowering food, also suggest me which are the beneficial things to be included when making salads.

Hi, sorry to hear about your mother that she is facing difficulties to walk. Answer to your queries are natural food that eases muscles n joint pain is ginger, give her 1/4 tsp of ginger daily mixing with tea or making juice out of it. Whichever preferred. It will help her.
For salads any veggies can be added , sprouts, Chana, can be added, and just to enhance her calcium intake you can add grated paneer or hung curd as salad dressing . for weight loss her intake of carbs, sweets n deep fried foods should be avoided.
Little bit of walking according to her comfort is required, at least 4days a week.

Restriction on sugar, rice, potatoes n any veg cooked in potatoes n arbi. Eat whole grains like oats, millets wheat dalia with toned milk, dhuli dal 25gms in a day with veg ( ghiya, carrot , beans,petha,cucumber, cauliflower). Drink coconut water. Eat fruits(papaya,apple). Do pranayams 5 mins in morning.
She need to walk slowly daily for half an hour if not having any physical restrictions to improve muscle strength as if there is no deficiencies or injury to bones then due to low muscle strength we feel oain in bones. Please go for all check up specially vit D and calcium. She need to take all type of fruits and vegetables at least 4-5 servings daily, 2 servings pulses or paneer or egg or non veg,1-2 glass milk products daily. If having any disease or deficiency or derailed blood reports then please contact me fir specific changes in diet as per reports.
