Loss taste and smell
Dear sir/mam I have loss my taste and smell from 20 days..and first i checked my rtpcr report is negative on 25/4/2021 and checked again 1/5/2021 and my covid report is positive and no any other Symtems and health issue..pls help sir for my taste and smell recover

any viral infection ( even a common cold) can cause loss of sense of smell and taste in some people. Certainly in Covid 19 infection it happens more frequently. Usually this heals spontaneously and recovers over time. unfortunately there is no medication to help with this. Definite recovery will happen but can take time, sometimes even months.

consult an ENT surgeon to assess the degree of loss of sense of smell and assessment fo your symptoms.

plain steam inhalation 2- 3 times a day can help in the early stages to a certain extent
