Hello. From what you have said , it seems like your cousin's personality changed from being a sociable person to someone who isolates himself. The symptoms you have mentioned about talking and laughing to self also need to be explored further. A psychiatrist can determine the underlying issue.
Next Steps
Please contact a psychiatrist. If your cousin doesn't want to go then you may have to find a psychiatrist who will do a home visit.

Hi..am sorry the information you have provided is not very specific. However, please understand that since the social behaviour has deviated a lot from before,it is a cause for concern and requires a psychiatric consultation. Also it will be better to take a few friends or parents who see him regularly.

Loss of interest, decreased concentration and attention, feeling low and disturbed sleep or appetite are some of the signs of depression. Consult a psychiatrist who will assess you in detail. If he says he is feeling suicidal or hopeless, seek professional help immediately. Try some relaxation techniques like yoga, meditation and deep breathing. Indulge in hobbies. Spend time with people close to him.

Yes,  I know how difficult it is for you all to see him like, even that. Was there any situation or incident in which was unhappy about in the recent times past. Was it  other resolved properly. I think it is better to visit a professional personally and try to u understand what is the issue ?!....

Hi thanks for your approach. I appreciate your concern towards your cousin, he is very emotionally disturbed, the symptoms seems to be he is going under depression, any time neither friends nor family and relatives tried to find out the reason for his behaviour. try to engage him in activities he enjoys or person he likes to interact. Do not leave the hope or confidence. At the earliest try to contact any psychiatrist near your place. I am sure with the medication and family support he can recover at the earliest. take care.
Next Steps
visit the psychiatrist near your place.
Health Tips
Encourage him to do the external or internal work, communicate as much as possible.
