It is important to look for dehydration and treat it.  Look for lethargy, thirst, urine output, sunken eyes etc to judge severity of dehydration. If severe dehydration, then immediately go to hospital for intravenous fluids. If some dehydration, then give ORS 25 to 50 ml after each loose motion. Give Zinc 20 mg daily for 14 days. Continue breastfeeding more frequently. Give khichri, lassi, ripe banana Antibiotics are not required Remember diarrhea takes time to resolve may be few days to weeks. Vomiting usually stops soon. You should give small and frequent feeds to child.
