Yes, if you take lonapam only, this isn't going to treat your problem. You're simply getting relief from symptoms which is trasitory. In the long term you'll need more of this medication and you may develop iatrogenic dependence. After long-term use, if you stop this medication abruptly, you may develop withdrawal symptoms or relapse of the initial symptoms. Consult a psychiatrist and get evaluated, discuss a long-term treatment plan with your doctor

Lonazep or clonazepam acts quicker than antidepressants therefore beneficial for the short term. In the long term, it can aggravate your anxiety/ mood symptoms and is addictive- This means over time, you may require more and more of the medication to get the same relief. Antidepressants on the other hand, take longer to act but aren’t addictive and address the cause of your symptoms- by correcting the Neuro chemical imbalances that cause anxiety and depression. In short, taking lonazep for persisting anxiety/depression is like taking Dolo for recurrent fever-without addressing the cause for it.
Next Steps
Consult your psychiatrist Consider taking therapies like CBT TMS is another non invasive option to consider

Usually lonazep or clonazepam is used only for short term symptom relief and not continued long term due to dependency issues I’m sure your psychiatrist will gradually taper and stop the medication don’t worry
