it sounds like you may be experiencing gum inflammation and bleeding when you press on the affected tooth. This could be a sign of gum disease, such as gingivitis. Gingivitis is characterized by red, swollen gums that may bleed easily when touched or brushed.
To address your concern, I recommend the following steps:
Practice good oral hygiene: Brush your teeth gently twice a day with a soft-bristled toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste. Be sure to clean along the gumline and between your teeth. Additionally, floss daily to remove plaque and debris from between your teeth and along the gumline.
Rinse with saltwater: Rinse your mouth with warm saltwater (1/2 teaspoon of salt in 8 ounces of warm water) a few times a day. This can help reduce inflammation and promote healing.
Use a mouthwash: Consider using an antimicrobial mouthwash recommended by your dentist. This can help reduce bacteria and promote healthier gums.
Schedule a dental appointment: It's important to see a dentist to have your condition evaluated. They can examine your teeth and gums, identify the underlying cause of the swelling and bleeding, and recommend appropriate treatment. This may involve professional dental cleaning, scaling and root planing, or other interventions based on the severity of your condition.
