Lipid profile discussion
Female pt aged 56  Cholesterol 252 , triglycerides 137, hdl 55 non hdl169. Can we given lipicard 160 mg for this condition ...as cholesterol is in borderline And lipicard is given when there is high cholesterol pls suggest.

Don't self medicate madam. Change your life style. Low cholesterol diet. Avoid spicy and oily food. Drink plenty of water. Do some physical activity. Avoid alcohol. Stop smoking if you do.

You don't need lipicard.  But how much is your LDL ? You will need statins if LDL is elevated.
