Your wisdom tooth may be infected, which could be due to to multiple reasons. If the tooth has not erupted properly like the other teeth, it can cause and infection in the soft tissue around the area, it may also lead to an abscess. The strange taste could sometimes be because of that. However, it is very difficult to judge the exact cause of your problem without seeing you in person and also seeing some x-rays. Medications alone however, will not solve this problem and it would be best for you to reach out to your family dentist to treat the problem without delay.
