I thank Prof.Dr.Vinay Krishnamurthy for dental refferal. My first impression after seeing picture enclosed is folliculitis, since abscess is pointing extra-orally. But it is prudent to get a thorough clinical examination done to rule out space infection and mucocele which is much more common to the area of clinical presentation as in this case. Wise option would be see a surgeon who guide you through process of relieving the abscess and appropriate medication.

There could be a number of reasons that has led to this situation.
It could be due to issues in the oral mucosa or the teeth and it's supporting structures the gums.
The other possibility is that it could be due to non oral issues.
It is highly recommended that you consult a dental specialist to rule out or confirm if the problem is due to oral issues.
