Hello there. I can understand your concern. Your symptoms seem to be consistent with sciatica pain. But to come to a confirmative diagnosis, a certain radiological investigations will be required. There is something called spinal disc herniation which is usually the cause for this sciatic neuropathy. The herniated disc presses on the Lumbar or sacral roots and that causes sciatica. Usually it's very easy to diagnose, if you lie down and raise the affected leg straight, you will feel a sharp pain shooting below the knee. Consult a orthopedician for further management as in these cases, treatment started earlier is better. Don't delay any further. Best regards. Dr. Anil Kumar Jain.
