Law hemoglobin count..
My 70 year old grandmother has law hemoglobin count 5.4 gm/dl. Also she don't feel to have dietary requirements accordingly and having small meals in a day.How to deal with it?

Yours grand mother's hb is very low , platelets count also very low. By only dietary modification, it is not possible to treat. Blood transfusion require. Cause of anaemia find out by investigation. So my advice hospital admission.

You are grandmother in the category of severe in India for which she would have to be ready for blood transfusion since at this haemoglobin level patient can develop breathlessness and weakness in the body even addressed also since the blood sugar report which has been mention shows that your grandmothers blood sugar is within normal limit so I can hope that she’s not diabetic so the reason of such a low haemoglobin at this age should we elucidated first then we can go for a appropriate treatment for the same.
