My wife has been diagnosed with lattice degeneration and has been advised for immediate laser surgery. She is diabetic. Family history of glaucoma also exists, though she has been not diagnosed for this. Need to know following things. 1. How critical is this illness. 2. How can it be controlled? 3. In high myopics it's quite common and if progressive then dangerous. Hence regular check up and proper maintenance of record is very necessary. You must get laser treatment done.and keep an eye over blood sugar levels and iop.
