Laser Treatement for retinal hole
Doctor prescribed me laser treatment for retina lattice with hole i.e prophylactic laser therapy ( Duiode Laser).
Is this laser are safe to do , any complication after laser or vision loss due to the therapy.
Please guide me in this regarf

Without laser u may develop retinal detachment which is more difficult to handle than this and also has more complications. So to prevent that... We are preventing the retina from being.. getting detached through its weak areas. U should undergo laser if u don't want those complications. It's definitely needed.

There is no treatment particularly surgical whether it is laser or operation without risks. The complications may include retinal detachment,choroidal rupture and vitreous haemorrhage.
However in the hands of a good doctor it can be done safely. it is mandatory for the doctor who is performing the laser to take a written informed consent regarding the risks and benefits before doing the procedure.

You must definitely go in for treatment as the lattice with holes makes your retina prone to detachment. Prophylactic laser is the treatment of choice for this condition. It is a safe procedure and will not lead to vision loss.

Definitely get the laser done. The lattice degeneration is a peripheral retinal pathology. So the laser is not going to cause any vision loss, it's absolutely safe.
