There are less invasive and simpler ways of knowing if your tubes are open. Hystero-salpingo-graphy (HSG), If not already done. If on HSG there are issues about tubes being open or closed then laprascopy can be done. Sonosalpingography, where they use sonography to see tubal patency, can also be performed. Laprascopy is the diagnostic test for tubal patency. but if simpler tests also give the report that tubes are open, laprascopy only to evaluate tubes can be avoided.
