For such severe back problems consult some good Homoeopathic doctor around your residence. Coz too many pain killers will be not advisable. Try and avoid surgery as far as possible coz it itself have other risk factors involved. Level of complexity depends on MRI report. But since she is having numbness in her legs means there is nerve root compression.
Next Steps
Till pain persists give complete bed rest . Bed rest will help her resolve the inflammation around the disc and release the compression on the nerve. Also try cold compressions if in acute pain.
Health Tips
Avoid lifting weights, sleeping on hard surface She can start some core strengthening exercises only after her pain subsides
