Kshar sutra treatment for Anal Fistula.
I am undergoing treatment for Anal fistula which is a para surgical procedure. I have completed one thread change and today I am supposed to visit for the thread change again but the doctor at my place would be unavailable for 10 more days. Is it fine having this thread for 10 more days and also I feel the thread has broken. Is it fine if the thread breaks and I still wait for 10 days. And also the scanning report says " Fistula communicating skin surface to anal dphincter approx mass 33×7 mm noted at left pereneal region with internal opening at Left Anterior part (at 1 o clock position) ". By this report does it give any idea how long it takes to cure and any care that I can take to reduce the no. Of sittings and speed up the healing process. The last I had is I am software engineer. The doctor has suggested me. To go back to work after thread change but I'll have to sit for long hours and work. Will that affect me badly. Please advice.

Ksharsutra should be removed within 7 days as it my infect your wound or kshar is corrosive in nature so it can over burn your wound.. Better to change immediately Wound healing differs in each individual acording to his or her habit so you must follow diet restriction pathya properly with regular medications for early recovery.. Thanks

Hi If the thread is broken no use of retaining it for long hours. Thing the thread has to be changed with new one is just to remove the old one and add a medicated thread thread which heals. If there delay in changing dont worry. It can even be changed after 15 days. Continue the medication given along Do sitz bath Take tab gandhaka rasayana 2 tab twice a day Amruttadi guggulu 2 tab twice a day Until your doctor comes For sitting for long hours you can use water cushion which helps you
