Dear mam, Knee pain while walking at 63 years age is most probably due to arthritis. The fact you had ankle fracture might suggest that is the alignment of the limb is not proper that may also lead to excessive load on your knee. The knee is divided into 3 compartments mainly and each compartment can damage separately. If you have pain in the front of the knee which is knee cap we can help you do better with treatment, exercise and precautions. Also, your clinical symptoms and xray also will give a better insight as how to treat you better.
