Hello sir, I can appreciate your information but it is not enough to analize the exact cause. As she is 58 years old there might be low calcium after menopause or the fluid levels in the knees might have reduced. It might also due to lumbar weakness which commonly occurs in that age group. I need a clear discussion with you to help you with exact cause and treatment. I recomend you to consult once so that I can exactly suggest you what to do next. I have good experience of 6 years in treating such cases.
Next Steps
firstly get Sr. Calcium and Sr. electrolyte levels report done. Tab Shalcal 0-0-1 x 15days with milk
Health Tips
let her get some rest and consult for clear detailed discussion and treatment.

Visit an Orthopedic doctor first. Get X-ray of both knees and check Vitamin D, Calcium, CRP, ESR, RA factor. If it's osteoarthritis, it can be managed with physiotherapy, supplements, and pain relief. Surgery is only needed in severe cases. Possible causes: age-related wear, vitamin deficiency, weight strain, or mild past injuries. Start treatment early to avoid worsening.
