You must have a old history of trauma but this pain may be unrelated to that event. You pain is mostly due to your muscle weakness and have led to the chondromalacia patellae. You need to get both side quardiceps and hamstring isometric and range of motion exercises with ankle weight (1kg) And Some medicines If pain is not relieved even after 1 month of exercise than we need to think further I think it should settle with exercise and some medicines
