I got a blunt trauma at right knee on 14 March 20, immidiatelly after the incident knee get swelled, I was feeling pain, restriction in movement
. I was came for treatment to ortho specialist, he asked some questions & physically examine the knee & put on a slab(pop) beneath the knee and advised me 21 day rest.
After 25 days slab was removed I was feeling better now I could do full movement but swelling and pain during movement still persists
Again I was came to ortho specialist then he recommended for MRI. But unluckily due to covid19 MRI facility was temporarily suspended.
during this period I was resting on bed and finally 19 may 20, MRI was done. The findings of MRI of my knee was as follows 1 :- contusion at medial & lateral femoral condyle & hairline fracture at tibial spine. 2:- grade 1 ACL tear. 3:- grade 1 injury posterior horn of medial meniscus .4:- mild joint effusion. now i want to know what treatment should I take to recover from above these findings & how long??

Wear a knee brace for 4 weeks.
After 4 weeks, start walking... If you experience any instability, then proceed for reconstruction.
Ideally 3 weeks rest is sufficient, 4 weeks in your case considering the tibial spine fracture.
Next Steps
Apply ice packs on knee. the ice daily and perform static quadriceps exercises to prevent quadriceps muscle atrophy.

This is a significant injury as per your report.
Immediate treatment:
Rest, ice and commence gentle movement with the aim of recovering full bending.
In young and active patients this would most likely require an arthroscopic surgery to address the ACL as well as repair the meniscus. Surgery is not urgent and can be deferred for a few weeks till situation is a bit better.
As described by you .
As per Mri reports
1.tibial spine hair line fracture - u need rest for another 4 week's with knee brace while walking on resting u can remove it.
But no forceful knee bending or jerky movements while bending knee .
2. Acl tear - Acl ligament give stability to knee joint and it's attached where this tibial Spine is fractured so it corelated but question is - did it avulsed from base ? so it will be good to examine mri films for it and that mri film finding should match with clincial finding
3.medial meniscus injury - how bad is it again need to see on mri films is it injury or tear.
As per treatment part :-
1.As hair line fracture is there we can give it try for 4 more weeks with physiotherpy excersies to strong knee muscle and long knee brace for support
And then u can strat walking after examining by ortho
2. If still pain is there , difficulty in walking and running , feel like your knee will give away (instability) then u need diagnostic arthroscopy to check what are the findings inside knee and same time as per findings :-
- Acl reconstruction can be done if required. Or repair Acl or fix it if avulsed fracture seen.
- meniscus tear - if small then only trimimg will help or if it's big then that part of tear is shaved off( cut off) ,
if no tear only loosening then repair with specialized sutures is done.
Hope that answer all to your queries
At this moment you need to give support to your right knee & neighboring parts with suitable material, do some specific exercises, take proper medication for relief from pain & swelling, later on some surgical procedures may be undertaken after proper evaluation. Do not bend your right knee forcibly till further advice.
