I have multiple stones of 4 to 6 mm in both kidneys and also in both ureters of 6.2 mm. Doctor have suggested operation. Is it necessary to go through surgery or there is another way to throw them out.

You need a ureteroscopy if you are more symptomatic, more so like having pain and vomiting. The stones of similar size about 5mm or so would come out spontaneously if it's located in the lower most part of ureter close to urinary bladder. Plain CT scan KUB region would give a correct assessment of the stone details. If the stone is in lower ureter,then Cap. Tamfil S once a day for about 7 days would help in expelling the stone.
