Kidney malfunction alongwith lung infect
I m 80 yrs old and my weight is 80 kg. i m a diabetic also. recently i am diagnosed with infection in lungs and kidney malfunction leading to minimal urine output. i have been put in ICU for 11 days now and treated with dialysis also. my condition as of now is normal and is not requiring any surgical procedures to be done. kindly advise if i can continue my treatment at home also.

Once dialysis is initiated, then you might need it to maintain the near normal Renal function. If the kidneys have malfunctioning for a brief while, then it would be recovering once the trigger cause is treated, otherwise if it is a long standing problem, then you might permanent periodic hemodialysis or dialysis by other forms
