Creatinine level in blood test is 1.89, does it has any major kidney issue or it would be minor issue

Normal creatinine level is 0.6 to 1.2 mg Anything above 1.2 means pt has kidney problem We have to find whether this is a recent problem or a long term issue. This has to be evaluated in detail to find out the cause, so that we can prevent further increase in creatinine
