Kidney cyst type change?
Sir I am 23 male,I have 5 cm simple renal cyst doctor told no need treatment it is normal finding.But I want to know its automatically change to type 2?

It can change from types but it's very rare to do Keep yourself on regular annual follow up with a urologist

Do you have pain ,fever ? You must have been told it's bosniak type 1 cyst Don't worry,type 1cyst is harmless

Single simple renal cyst in one kidney is of no major significance unless associated damage with any other finding or symptoms. Before the age of 30, if someone has two or more renal cysts bilaterally,it’s a matter of Concern, but not otherwise if proven simple cyst in ultrasound. So don’t worry and get a yearly ultrasound done under Urologist’s supervision
