Last Friday 4year old baby girl swallowed one rupee coin and till now did not come out of stomach. In nearby hospital a MD pediatric doctor asked to join in hospital to keep baby in observation so that no infections or fever will not be increased. But till now the coin has not come out of baby via motion. Please give best suggestion in this case

Hi. Does she have any cough or fever or stomach pain? How is her eating, motion and urine ? How is her activity? Generally swallowed coins are not dangerous, they come out in few days... Can take an abdominal x-ray and see if coin is still seen.. Sometimes it would have passed out and you may not have noticed it... Generally I don't admit if they are normal and have no symptoms..
