Keratoconus
I have been diagnosed with mild keratoconus in left eye. My corneal thickness of left eye is 480. I have been advised by my opthalmologist to revisit and get C3R after 3 months. But I have read it that c3r can't be performed if thickness is less than 400. So please guide me what to do.. Will I be too late after three months?? What are the best hospital for kerotoconus in India???

Hello You have reasonable good corneal thickness for C3R. This is less likely or unlikely to reduce drastically to critical value in 3 months

But your corneal thickness u are saying is 480...it will not come down drastically in 3 months C3R is done in progressive keratoconous , not necessarily for all cases ! Your eye doc will be the best person to guide you ..in case of doubts..u can take a second opinion to feel better n confirm. It is relatively simple procedure ..depends on where u r based.
