Hi, I think I might have Down syndrome or mosaic Down syndrome. Although I have consulted a geneticist earlier and a psychiatrist, most doctors told me, based on my appearance, "you don't have Down syndrome." However, I think I might have it because I have a simian crease on one hand, a sandal gap, OCD although it's a common disorder even in general population, which is common among individuals with mosaic Down syndrome, and I also have strabismus,, Now, I know it can be due to pathological myopia, which I do have (-14 in the left eye and -11 in the right eye), but my doubt comes from why I have all these things. I mean, if I only had a simian creasse, then I could make the argument that it can also be present in the normal population, but I have all these signs, which is why I can't ignore them, I also think I might have an intellectual disability as well, although many psychiatrists and psychologists deny that. If your karyotype is normal then no way u can have Down’s syndrome . It could just be your ocd triggering . As you already know that in ocd u get trapped in a chain of thoughts . U need to consult a psychiatrist or probably get a counselling done .
