Jogging on spot Vs actual jogging
How comparable is jogging at a single spot with actual jogging on flat terrain? I wanted to know time/calorie comparison, like how much actual 30 minute jogging is equivalent to on spot jogging

There are lot factors that are responsible for the amount of calories burn in 30 min jog like speed, duration, body weight and height, activity tolerance, outside temperature, level of humidity. So when a person is running on terrain uses diffrent body muscles in comparison to on spot jogging. A person will burn close to 70-75 calories after jogging for a mile in 14-15 min and who’s height is 5.8 feet and weighs around 70 Kg. Spot jogging burns less calories due to the less involvement of upper body muscles. To burn more calories jog outside with variable speed and duration.
