The type of pain you described is of acute or short term but continuous in nature. It may be because of many reasons like after local anaesthesia or because of nerve compression after wisdom tooth extraction of lower jaw . Don't worry about it.Just take medicine as prescribed by the dentist / oral surgeon &  Gargle with lukewarm salt water after every meals to maintain oral hygiene 48 hrs.of tooth removal surgery.

Hi How long has it been since u have undergone the tooth extraction. In very rare ocassions when the nerve is in close approximation with the wisdom tooth , after the removal might cause numbness for few days to sometimes weeks. However its limited to mild numbness to slight pain. Please consult your surgeon who has done your tooth extraction. If it has just been a day or two please remain calm and take your medications on time it should reduce.
