Your brothers report shows he has typhoid and increased bilirubin level and liver enzyme ALT.Jaundice accompanying typhoid is very rare,though there cases.In such instances he should be tested for hepatitis A and B ,A being more possible it's food born viral disease.
Constipation is common in typhoid
