Ivf and ectopic pregnancy
In IVF If embryo is implemented directly in the uterus then why sometimes ectopic pregnancy especially the tubal pregnancy occurs?!  Please someone answer this Thank you in advance

There many causes of ectopic pregnnancy in ivf - tubal damage , pelvic inflammatory disease , h/ o previous ectopic , prevoius pelvic surgery . Ivf -ET technique related - multiple embryo transfer or high amount of tranfer media used

It should not occur. There is no reverse migration of a fertilized ovum. Only sperms move towards the tubes.
