I recently got a fibreglass cast for a fracture in my leg. Is it normal for it to be this itchy? It has only been two days and I cannot sleep because of the itchiness. I can feel all the cotton strands inside which are further aggravating it. Can I take some medicine for it?

Yes this sensation is normal and this happens because of sweat. Also hope you have not wet or taken bath over the cast. If you have done so, please avoid doing it.
Next Steps
Keep the cast dry.
Avoid medication as much as possible but if it is unbearable you can take Tab. Levocetrizine once in the night for 3 days
