It could be due to allergy or dryness.
Please put some lubricant eye drops eg teardrops 3to 4times daily and ocupol.dx eye oint to be rubbed twice daily on lids.
Wash her eyes frequently with fresh water and do cold compresses by ice.

Wash eyes frequently with water. If not improving then can use E/d refresh tear thrice daily for 2 weeks. If not improving then consult a local ophthalmologist.
