Health Tips
Permite cream used head to toe and left overnight may do the job together with an antihistamine like Allegra 180 taken once daily post dinner.
a prescription based treatment is always best.
Godspeed 🙌
The history of intense itching especially at night, with redness and excoriation, is highly suggestive of scabies (a mite infestation). It commonly affects areas like chest, waistline, between fingers, and worsens at night.
Other possibilities (less likely based on history): allergic dermatitis or fungal infection, but night-time itching strongly points toward scabies.
Next Steps:
• Take an antihistamine (like levocetirizine) at night for itching
• All close contacts (family members) should be treated simultaneously, even if no symptoms
• Wash clothes, bedsheets, towels in hot water and dry in sun
Helpful Tips / Word of Caution:
• Itching may continue for 2–3 weeks even after treatment (normal)
• Do NOT use steroid creams randomly → can worsen condition
• Keep nails short to avoid skin injury/infection
• Avoid sharing clothes/towels
