Approx 2 months back, while bowling during cricket, the thumb of my left foot started to pain and later turned almost black/dark and the area/skin around the thumb was red. After taking a pain killer and few days later, it stopped to pain but is still black (Pic attached). Yesterday i played again and bowled a bit, it again started to pain a bit. This doesn't happen while batting since in bowling only the first foot to land on ground is left one. This issue never came since childhood while playing.
Can you please tell why is this happening and is there any simple way it can be normal again and also how can the color of thumb be same as earlier?
