Your symptoms may be related to the lower back, hip muscles, or irritation of the nerves supplying the legs. Since the pain is affecting both legs, especially the right side, and walking is becoming difficult, a proper physical examination is important before starting strengthening exercises.
Next Steps
Consult a physiotherapist with your MRI/report for assessment of lumbar movements, muscle strength, reflexes, sensation, hip mobility and neural tension. Treatment can then include pain-relieving modalities, gentle mobility/neural exercises and gradually progressed core, back and hip strengthening according to the findings.
Health Tips
Avoid heavy lifting, prolonged bending and exercises that increase pain into the legs. Keep gently mobile rather than prolonged bed rest. If you develop increasing leg weakness/numbness, numbness around the groin, or difficulty controlling urine or stools, seek urgent medical evaluation.

Hello, your symptoms should not be ignored, especially since you are experiencing pain involving your back, hip and both legs along with difficulty walking. Since you’re a student, prolonged sitting and long study hours may contribute to postural and biomechanical changes in the spine, which could be associated with your symptoms. For a proper assessment, I would need to review the MRI films along with the report to understand the structures involved and correlate the findings with your symptoms. Based on this assessment, an appropriate physiotherapy plan can be advised.
Next Steps
You can book an online physiotherapy consultation with me through Practo for a detailed assessment and personalized treatment/exercise plan.
Health Tips
For now, avoid heavy lifting, strenuous exercise and movements that significantly increase your pain. Continue gentle daily activity only as tolerated and avoid prolonged bed rest.
