Hi, my gynaecologist has prescribed me with Progynova 2mg 2 tabs morning, 1 afternoon & 2 at night. I was reading through the side effects and read it could cause blood clots and cardiovascular problems. I want to know if someone with no current cardiovascular problems can face anything as such on taking this medication and if there's a safer alternative. I've spoken to my doctor about it but she insisted I take it but I'm unsure. This was prescribed to me to thicken my endo lining. I need an honest answer to this.

Every medicine has a risk. For this one the risks are lesser in a person with no cardiovascular or coagulation issues but not zero. Also since you are taking it for a short period of time the risk would be even lesser Take the medicine at your discretion.
