Over dose of Progynova 2mg tablets.
Hello Doctor I'm 32 years old, I've been married 5 years ago, I'm pregnant now about 30 weeks. It's my second pregnancy.  My first pregnancy was miscarriage about tow and half years ago.I have diabetes and high blood pressure.  At my present pregnancy, there was a light bleeding or spotting at the beginning of my pregnancy it was till about two weeks, that time I went my local doctor for consult & then my doctor were prescribe me some pregnancy related medicine included insulin for diabetes and high blood pressure.  And she also prescribe me progynova 2mg tablets for takes once a day, & she will advice me I will continue progynova till eid of my pregnancy, then I continuing, one day I found it through the internet pprogynova 2mg is not safe in pregnancy, & then I stop taken it to her permission.  So my question is that, why my doctor prescribe me progynova 2mg tablets? & I was taken it long time like 6 months, is long time progynova 2mg take can effect my unborn baby & me? plz ans me.

I would hv suggested stop visiting dr google Yes sometimes tab progynova is given in pregnancy just for the initial half as it helps support pregnancy Though it’s usually not given till end and its good you stopped And no Harm will be done to the baby So dont stress too much If still query persists you can meet a geneticist if u wish to clear ur doubts And I hope every ultrasound that u hv done so far was ok
