I was caught as cml patient before 10 years, initially bcr-abl count is 94%.
But after 2 months of treatment it came down to 0%.
I am taking medicine from last 10 years.
My main dosage are Imatinib 400 mg.
I just want to know can I stop taking medicine mean is there permanent treatment of cml?
My bcr abl count always comes 0.

Yes you can stop imatinib. But need careful monitoring. After stopping imatinib if bcr abl detetable imatinib should be restarted immediately. Discuss with your medical oncologist for pros and cons of stopping imatinib

You can discuss with your treating doctor reg stoppage of drug..
If you are free of disease for 2 years you can stop ..
But you need to do bcr abl test to check for remission every three monthly ..as relapse is possible
