Is Amikacin safe in pregnancy
I am 15 weeks pregnant my doc has prescribed for urine infection, after urine feeling like bladder is still full and burning sensation before Amikacin doctor prescribed me nitro fur but with this medicine I was having vomitting and rashes in body so she gave Amikacin 500 mg injection for 3 days Please suggest can I take it after urination a I feel like my bladder is still full and burning sensation Is there any other medicine for this or any home remedies as I search on google this shows not safe in pregnancy

Amikacin is Category D .There are safer drugs. available .Always consult your doctor before taking any drugs in pregnancy

Kindly ask your doctor to start medication which is safer than amikacin... The risk using this medication in pregnancy should he less over benefits....
