Irritation and itching in vaginal openin

I'm feeling irritation and itching in my vaginal opening area, I'm sexually active and from last Saturday I'm feeling the same problem i thought it is like a normal infection will get normal in a few days but now I'm on my periods and it gets worse, today i rubbed it when I got itching and now it hurts as well with the itching.
