Hi,
I have irregular periods and planning for a baby now. But got my pregnancy result as negative. I wanted to know if irregular periods might be a reason for this.
Kindly advise on this.

Yes in irregular periods we cannot make out when will ovulation happen or in some cases it will happen or not (anovulatory cycles). First we need to regularise your period. Also get these tests don't if possible
1. Serum TSH
2. USG pelvis
Yes, irregular periods can be caused by ovarian cyst(PCOS) or other causes. You have to regularise with Harmon's therapy. Before that check for TSH, USG abdomen.
