First you need to be clear that insomnia and being alert are different terms ..part of a spectrum ..Also if yes then why you want to be insomniac..Do you sleep excessively, Do you take frequent naps at work...Its always important to know the factors for the development of symptoms...so .I advise you to consult a psychiatrist for detailed evaluation and Management of the case .. regards
