Inguinal Hernia - Pre-term baby
My daughter was born premature on 25 September. Recently we have noticed a lump near her stomach. Our pediatrician has detected it as Inguinal Hernia and advised for immediate surgery. I would like to get second opnion to see if it can heal on its own as the baby grows.

Usual dictum is wait till 40 weeks corrected age. If it’s still persistent, go for corrective surgery. There is a risk of obstruction in the hernia. So, u have to weight the risk & benefit.
