Ascoril has Salbutamol as one of its ingredients , which is known to cause tachycardia (faster heart rate) , but if the rise in heart rate is immediate , after a single consumption itself , it is highly unlikely to be because of syrup per se . And it is advised to keep a track of the heart rate , and unless it is an isolated event of tachycardia , it is advised to get an evaluation of the cause . Meanwhile please discontinue the syrup and go for Betadine oral solution Luke warm water gargle , thrice a day . Would like to know a few more details , before providing a definitive opinion . Please consult for the same .
One of the components of ascoril syrup is salbutamol which causes the increase in heart rate.if you don't have chest congestion and cough there's no reason for continuing it.Rest of the medicines you can use
Next Steps
if you have cough , explain about palpitations to your doctor ,who will substitute with different cough syrup
