Increased TSH levels
I have just diagnosed with little higher TSH levels than normal after thyroid test. Can the level be controlled with only diet and exercise, without starting thyroid medication. Or medication is must??

Check your anti TPO antibodies. If they are positive then it suggests auto immunity and may require treatment with thyroxine.
Next Steps
Check Anti TPO antibodies and TSH again after a month and consult with Diabetologist or endocrinologist

Whether or not you need medications depends on the levels and your symptoms. If levels are only little higher and you are feeling ok, no medications will be necessary. Diet and exercise does not help with changing thyroid /TSH levels
Next Steps
Please share your lab test values to determine need for medications
