Immune system after measles
Hello,
My husband recently had measles a month ago and recovered now. But some sources tell me that measles will reduce your immunity and might trigger pneumonia or TB. My doubt is how long will it take to regain old immunity or how long we have to be careful . Is there any specific concern?

In the convalescent phase you should concentrate on dry fruits, green vegetables, beet root, sweet potato, broccoli, and sprouts . A good diet along with adequate physical activity will help him regain his immunity and strength.

Any viral infection will drop lymphocytes levels which will in return bring done immunity levels, however for lymphocytes to regenerate will take 2 to 04 weeks.

This is more common in children , that,too in mal nourshed children
At this age v rare, and most probably he must have been vaccinated also during childhood so relax!!
