Hi, I was admitted and treated for Dengue in November 2018. Since then, I've been facing severe hair fall to the extent that I'm now almost bald in my crown region. Everytime I touch my hair, locks and locks of hair sheds down. I'm using Biobit Forte and Hair Follic pills and topical serums Folligain for over 2 weeks now. There is absolutely no improvement even after this. Pls advice, it really worries me.

This is Telogen effluvium. Usually can last from 3 weeks to 3 months. Is however self limiting. Complete regrowth after dengue associated hair loss may not occur in all individuals though 80-90% of hair usually grows back - which may take upto a year for you to notice visible results. Some peptide based lotions could be of some help. Kindly see a qualified dermatologist near you for regular follow up.
